Kelsey Cruciotti has a fantastic week at Tryon Summer 5 on her three mounts Queen Celeste,
Vermont ODF, and Chances R. We had a chance to catch up with Kelsey about her week and learn more about her riding.
Vermont ODF and Kelsey flew to two top 12 finishes in the Medium Jr/Amateur Classic 1.30m! Great rounds!
Kelsey piloted Chance R through a speedy round earning the pair a 10th in the $3000 NAL Low Amateur Classic!
Last but not least Kelsey and Queen Celeste competed in the Amateur-Owner Hunter 3'6" and cleaned house!
Taking away 2 Blue ribbons, 2 second places, and one 5th. Overall ending in Champion! We had to check in with Kelsey after these awesome rides.
How was it riding celeste this week?
"Celeste is one of the nicest hunters in the country, and I am so honored to have the ride, I try to start my round with a consistent pace and then stay on it throughout the round. After that I try to stay out of her way and let her do her best. The results speak for themselves."
We then asked Kelsey more about her riding.
What is your experience like working with the young horses?
"Riding young horses is a process. When you reflect over the course of the past year you cannot help but be thrilled on the progress they have made. I am so happy with how they both went this past weekend. For Chance to go in on Sunday and jump clear in the first round of the Low Classic is one of the most gratifying feelings I could ask for."
We are so proud of you and Chance R!
Kelsey had a week full of accomplishments all earned through hard work. We asked
What is one technique you tried to work on and perfect last week?
"Stay on pace throughout the entire round."
Kelsey cruised through a rewarding week in Tryon. We are excited to watch you in the ring next time!
